Welcome to

Preschool

Rainbow

We are a local preschool based in Mile End, Colchester. With attention to fun and learning through play we provide a safe and enjoyable setting for 2 to 4 year olds. We understand that each child has unique needs and interests. We provide the environment and tools your child needs to thrive to the best of their abilities.

When we expose children to different environments and various learning experiences, we allow them to explore their self-awareness and gain a sense of the world around them. Once they leave Rainbow Preschool, they’re fully prepared for the next stage of their young lives.

We are proud to have Coach Connor from Kixx Colchester join us for football fun twice a month, these football sessions provide a high-energy and imaginative introduction to physical activity, helping to grow children's confidence. Kixx curriculum focuses on developing physical skills and social skills by learnings to work together.

We believe intergenerational relationships are important and feel the children gain from socialising with the older generation as do the residents at Tall Trees. We visit Tall Trees once a month and the residents will also visit preschool for events. The children have enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts and singing at the care home.  We believe in building stronger communities and enjoying bringing together the perspectives of both the young and old.
